Cooking On A Budget

Eating out on a budget: Eating out on a budget
There are plenty of ways to save money on food whilst grocery shopping, cooking at home and preparing food for friends and family. But when it comes to dining out, budgeting means for most people to avoid restaurants all together or to save up all month to have a nice night out.
Stopping Family Dinners out and dining nights for two all together is ludicrous and completely unnecessary to stop breaking the bank. Dining out is a treat and never a convenience and with the following small steps, this article can help you to understand that spending money responsibly does not equal deducting luxuries from your relaxation time.
1. Never put your dinner meals on credit cards. Sticking to cash to pay for the bill means you can control the amount you are spending whilst feeling the reality of how much is being spent. Splashing out to impress guests or your first date may make you feel great at the time, but in the morning, your debts will make you feel otherwise.
2. Try to Make Your options on the menu cheaper. As an alternative to alcohol and the lobster try something that is a little more affordable like soft drinks, or even eating out at lunch time. Lunch time menus are usually around half the cost and still provide a wide and yummy variety of meals to choose from.
3. Search the internet for the best online discount vouchers for restaurants and promotional codes that you can print and hand to the waiter at the end of the meal. Don’t be afraid to use them, they are incredibly helpful to eating on a budget. Most vouchers provide a 10-20 percent discount on the bill.
4. Have a look around online for restaurants that do not require a service charge (although many do). This way if you do decide to provide a tip, you are in control of how much you put down on the tip dish.
5. The most obvious of all. Don’t choose a restaurant that is expensive. If you are on a budget, dining out in the most expensive restaurant may give you rich and delicious food but it will also come with a huge bill and may not always fill your tummy with tiny delicacies. Italian restaurants tend to have fuller food such as rich pastas and delicious pizzas and also are much cheaper than other restaurants.
